Marriage of Art to the Internet, 2009
For the show Low Lives, I married Art to the Internet. I feel they have had a long courtship and it was about time that they take the next step. Several years ago in Long Beach California, I married Art to Absurdity, but I have recently come to the conclusion that Art is a polygamist. I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and have performed weddings between humans in addition to the first marriage of Art.
The wedding was performed at Big Car Gallery in Indianapolis Indiana. It was concurrently broadcast to galleries in New York, Texas, and Florida. The live audience was asked to propose a toast to the newly married couple in the form of reciting their favorite Internet video, all at the same time.
Work performed for Low Lives in 2009 and broadcast to FiveMyles, Brooklyn, NY; Diaspora Vibe Gallery, Miami, FL, and labotanica, Houston, TX(concurrent live performance telecast) (performance happened at Big Car Gallery, Indianapolis, Indiana)
